Mediminds Internship Program

The Mediminds internship program, a collaborative effort by 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐡, 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝟑𝐌 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮, provided a life-changing experience to aspiring high school students interested in a healthcare career. The program aimed to inspire young individuals to enter the healthcare field, contribute to the nation, and gain hands-on experience by visiting diverse healthcare facilities, interacting with doctors and specialists, and participating in medical camps in refugee areas. The primary goal was to offer students deep insights into the mindset, commitment, dedication, and essential skills needed to excel in the medical domain.
Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry from various perspectives. They had the privilege to observe the operations of not-for-profit hospitals, witness patient care across different departments, and engage with doctors specializing in various fields.

Furthermore, students had the opportunity to interact with NGOs and learn about the work of Doctors for You, an organization actively involved in healthcare initiatives at the grassroots level and disaster management across 28 states. Throughout the program, students embarked on informative tours of various hospital departments, including the OPD block, rehabilitation center, obstetrics/gynecology department, pathology, oncology department, cardiology, and neuroscience department. They also attended educational sessions focusing on topics such as cancer, the harmful effects of tobacco, and the importance of empathy in patient care.
